BT Cellnet – precursor of O2 prior to 2001: of all the major UK network operators, O2 now has the largest number of subscribers.
The brief
Create the new welcome pack to be sent to every new contract mobile customer, as BT Cellnet rebranded and repositioned itself as O2. The first piece of marketing material with the newly developed brand, and their first communication with the customer. How great is that!
The extra mile
Impact was vital, but not the full picture. We didn't want to just to produce a pretty pack, but hit all the buttons. Our own fulfilment team were to collate and mail them, so we involved everyone at the onset to make sure it would be time and cost-efficient. This pack had to be visually spot on, but also quicker to collate, cheaper to mail and fit-for-purpose.
The result
A stunning, newly branded Welcome pack. Fresher, lighter, more cost-effective. O2 had arrived.
